More than 200 concerned Penang residents and visitors crowded into the hall at Dewan Sri Pinang on 12 December 2015 to find out the state of the hills of Penang and what can be done to stop their degradation.
The Save the Hills of Penang event received wide coverage in the media in the days that followed, prompting Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng to invite the Penang Forum steering committee for a dialogue. This dialogue was eventually held on 11 January 2016 in front of journalists, thus again receiving wide media coverage.
